Austin Real Estate: 2011 Market Forecast The 2011 Housing Forecast, co-hosted by the Austin Board of REALTORS® and the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin, presented an encouraging outlook on the housing market and the economy, both locally and nationally. Consumer confidence and buyer finance restrictions were named as some of the biggest concerns facing the real estate market. However, compared to other parts of the country, home prices in Austin were stable throughout 2010 and are expected to remain stable in 2011 as job growth increases and foreclosure rates decline.
